This Privacy Policy explains how MyActiveTravel (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit myactivetravel.com (the “Website”), and the choices you have.
Who we are
MyActiveTravel plans curated tours for business and leisure travellers. We started out specialising in trips to Alaska and now also arrange travel across Europe and Asia. MyActiveTravel operates this Website and is responsible for the information collected through it. Information collected
When you browse the Website
You can browse the Website without providing any personal information. Like most websites, our hosting servers automatically keeps basic technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. These logs are used only to operate and secure the Website.
Comments
If you leave a comment, the name, email address and website you enter are saved along with your comment. Your IP address and browser details are also saved to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. Your name, website and comment are public.
An anonymised string created from your email address (called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a Gravatar profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. If your comment is approved, your Gravatar picture appears next to it.
Travel enquiries and bookings
When you contact us by email or phone about a trip, we receive your contact details and the information you choose to share with us, such as your travel dates, destinations, number of travellers and preferences. If you go ahead with a booking, we ask only for the details needed to arrange your travel.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, plan and arrange your trip, and support you before and during your journey. We do not add you to any mailing list without your consent.

Comments and their details are kept as long as the comment remains on the Website. This lets follow-up comments be approved automatically instead of waiting in a moderation queue. Enquiry and booking information is kept only as long as needed to arrange your trip, support you afterwards and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are deleted automatically on our hosting provider’s regular schedule.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, including any comments you’ve left. Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the UK or California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We will respond to requests promptly.
Children
The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Photos and content
Unless stated otherwise, the photos and text on the Website belong to MyActiveTravel. If you appear in a photo on the Website and would like it removed, please contact us and we will remove it.
